Funny! Gotta love the men!
As your blog is titled, "It's all good!" Ha. This is a cute, funny story. We had these lights once upon a time. I enjoyed all of the different functions except that one that was like a bad acid trip or something because they blinked so fast it about made you sick! But I did love those lights, so I have to agree with your hubs! Thanks for playing and along and joining the par-tay! Blessings!
The ones on my kids' tree in the game room has 8 functions - not nearly as cool as yours. They love it, though. (pssstt...do NOT tell them about the 16-function lights, please. PLEASE!)

We have a local musician G.B. Leighton who sings a song called

Those lights are wicked. (are you from New England? No? ok Wicked is like cool, awesome Wick-ED)
But I think I would NOT have bought them at $11 a pop. (now if it were after Christmas...) Guys just have a different way about them...mostly it's not wanting to be sent out to get something and rather then face the wife emtpy handed they go way over board. We must really have trained them huh?

TOO funny! I would have totally freaked out over $11.00 Christmas lights, at least they did some cool things, 16 cool things, hey that's less than .68 cents a function so maybe it's a bargain after all.

my husband is literally standing over my shoulder saying "we've got to get some of those lights. Our tree doesn't do that! We've got to get some of those lights"!!! Men!!
But I do love the lights!!!
My wife was watching over my shoulder and said; Don't even think about it. There is no way we are getting those lights for our tree next year. She is gone no and I have to say that I think there is still a possibility. We have those same lights outside along our fence. Loved the story.
This reminds me of the time I sent my husband to store to buy avocados for guacamole, and he spent $12 for 4 avocados. I almost died.
